Drool pooled in his slack mouth
Desire made him unaware
But focused
On taut skin
I can feel the blood flowing
begging for me

On rolling eyes
The whites showing
Don't cut 'till you see the whites of their eyes
A crunching glass laugh

He has not eaten for days
He has been purified
He's ready
The Final Ceremony can begin
Flesh will cease to bind you

The wire has cut into her wrists
White showing through red
He envies the bindings
Sleek danger

Scalpel kisses skin
Ragged nails dig under skin
A perfect grip
Pulling with inhuman strength
Insides bared for his
hungry gaze

The end
Organs to the north
Muscle to the east
Skin to the south
Hair, nails to the west

The bones
are his darling
They are in the center
He will make them
Beautiful

I don't do well with jumpy-out scaring type stuff so I'm submitting this for the Halloween contest.

Just as a note: This is in no way supposed to be demonizing the old Native American tradition, I was just inspired by the name, so no offense meant.

Ooooh, Native American inspirations huh? Some of the stories they tell can be pretty creepy... I'm half Navajo and I remember hearing stories of a changeling/shape-shifter called the "Skin Walker" or "Skinwalker" XD When my sister first heard the stories when we were kids, she started to drag her feet so they wouldn't be able to find a good footprint of hers to copy :evillaugh:

And wowzers, the poem is nicely done >.< Very creepy imagery :faint: bleargh!

Holy crapola Batman! Jesus, made me twinge and squirm, I could totally see it like a movie. Just as hideously descriptive as any of the crazy-gross-awesome books you make me read xD ie Shadowman and Face of Death :D Exceptionally well done! Here's hopin you win man! *tips a glass*

Hey, that's cool you're half Navajo. I'm not any part Native American but they do seem to have a lot of really interesting stories.

Thanks :D

Why thank you, I tried :D Are you gonna end up submitting something? I've been debating with myself if I want to try writing something else and sumbit it as well. It would be kinda fun to do a prose piece but that would take work lol
